Four Years of Automatic Office Work

In this paper, read to The British Computer Society, in London, on 19 May 1958, the author, who has been concerned with the LEO project since it was first conceived, surveys four years' experience of doing office work on an electronic computer, some of the applications of the machine, the difficulties of using a computer at full capacity and some of the problems that are still waiting to be solved.
