A Method for the Reduction of Empirical Multi-Variable Functions

C. D. Allen

Air Trainers Link Ltd, Aylesbury, UK

A method is given for reducing an empirically given function of many variables to an expression involving functions of each variable singly. The number of functions required is minimized for a given accuracy. A method of altering such expressions without losing accuracy is also described. Some notes are given on programming the problem for a digital computer.
