Air Pollution Control Division, Department of National Health and Welfare, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

An iterative method is given for solving a canonical form of second order hyperbolic partial differential equation. Numerical comparisons are made with two recent methods and a treatment is given for estimation of cumulative truncation error in the new method.
