A system for stereo viewing

A. Ortony *

Department of Computing and Control, Imperial College, London, UK

This paper describes a system for the viewing of stereoscopic pairs produced on a CRT. The system is cheap and reliable and conveniently allows several viewers to simultaneously perceive 3D objects in depth. It has proved to be very useful as an aid to understanding unfamiliar structures generated on the display and provides a powerful tool particularly when coupled with hidden line removal.
