Computer design of cascade logic

J. V. Scott *

Computer Division, The City University, St John Street, London, UK

The advent of LSI has made the design of switching circuits comprised of cascades or arrays of similar calls increasingly attractive.

This paper describes a method, based on group theory, which realised Boolean functions by means of a cascade. A program implementing this algorithm is discussed and details of results achieved by its use are included.

Received August 1973.
