The X—1 Computer

This article describes a small, fast, transistorized computer, designed basically for commercial data-processing, developed by the staff of the Mathematical Centre, Amsterdam. The article is based on a talk given by the author to a Colloquium at the University Mathematical Laboratory, Cambridge, on 27 November 1958.
