Structured systems analysis and design using standard flowcharting symbols

D. Millington *

Department of Computer Science, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK

This paper shows how a subset of the International Standards Organization set of flowcharting symbols can be used for charts drawn within a structured systems analysis and design method. The approach is a development of that established in Britain by the National Computing Centre and currently described in Data Processing Documentation Standards.

Received July 1980.
