Mathematics in Business

R. G. Dowse and H. W. Gearing

Two members of the Business Group of the British Computer Society discuss a number of questions prompted by reading some of the papers submitted a year ago at an Oxford Conference. The Society is making an attempt to answer some of the training problems involved by bringing together scientists, engineers and business men. The paper concludes with suggestions for the basic training of the next generation.
