CAM02: A structured precedence analyser
LSE, Houghton Street, London, UK
This paper discusses the concepts of structures imposed on the precedence analysis of large information processing systems. These structures are hierarchies of information sets (e.g. messages/records, files, data bases) and hierarchies of processing systems (e.g. modules, programs, computer applications). The concepts have been built into a structured precedence analyser, CAM02, which is now available for field trials, demonstrations and practical use. This program requires little investment to exploit it and is a useful software aid for systems analysts, designers and programmers.
