An analysis of a software engineering failure

Historical analyses of software engineering projects that fail are rare commodities in the computer science field today. In this paper we describe the rise and fall of a professionally engineered project that was doomed to failure by strategical, technical and tactical errors which were clearly revealed by analytic hindsight.
